Student profile
Below we have profiled a few of our students who have completed their studies with us.

From Lola,

I hope this email meets you well. I graduated last week Wednesday with First Class Honours and a College prize for outstanding performance over my three years.  I have you to thank for this because you gave me a chance to study the BTEC Diploma at CCL, which eventually led to me to Queen Mary. I remember the day I walked in with mum and you said it was fine, that I could start (even when I had missed the start of the term).  I am so grateful for the opportunity you gave me and will always remember you as the one who gave me a stepping stone towards university.  I'll come down to CCL to say hi in person.

P.S I will be starting at the LSE in September, where I will be studying for a Masters in International Employment relations and HRM.

Thank you again.

David Hall - from UK achieved Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business June 2013...

From David's mum,
Thank you so much for helping David achieve his BTEC qualification.
Thank you also for your confidence in him and helping to rebuild his self-worth after his horrible time at his previous school in Solihull.

David achieved this qualification in a record 3 months! Congratulations for a truly outstanding effort.

Fidelis Griffith - from UK achieved BIFM Level 5 Diploma May 2013..."

I am pleasantly surprised and delighted to have passed.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to my Tutors who supported me through the world of applying theory to my FM practice.  And importantly bringing together differing sectors in the FM world, this will prove enlightening as my London Borough move to a new TFM outsourced service from 1st October 2013.
I have been matched against 4 client function posts in the new client management structure.  So it will be either the client side or TUPE to the contractor side in the autumn."

Andrea Chisholm - from UK achieved BIFM Level 5 Diploma May 2013..." Thanks, its been hard but a pleasure."

Laurent Ille - from France was successfull in applying for 8 weeks paid work experience which was later extended to three months  Level 5 Diploma until end of June 2013......

"I am writting to you this e-mail to give you some news about Inès and I. We are currently doing the work-placement for Thomas Miller and we have been told today by our department executive manager that the company decided to extend our placement for 8 weeks more. These are amazing news!

Our  main duties are checking the companies records to verify  if at the time a Mariner was working on a vessel that vessel itself was insured by P&I Club. We have so many cases to deal with so we are very busy and we feel very useful.

Once again , I would like to thank you for what you have done for me and the opportunity given as I am now more than ever sure that I really want to work in this industry."

Daniel Trevor Kisten - from UK achieved BIFM Level 5 Diploma August 2012 - our first success in this formidable qualification. "I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you and everybody involved in the college for the passed 21 months. Its been a great journey and I will definitely be an ambassador for the college."

Sarah Crittenden - from UK achieved BIFM Level 5 Diploma October 2012

"This is the best news. I'm so relieved.

Please can you pass my thanks and appreciation to all of those that have advised, guided, encouraged and believed in me during the course, without this I really don't think I would have completed the course. I am massively grateful and will never forget it."

Nihanya Sarathchandra - from Sri Lanka awarded HND in Computing and Systems Development Level 5 (QCF) August 2012. "I am so glad to tell you that I have successfully enrolled at SouthBank university and I have started attending classes from this week. So far the lectures are good and understandable. I am so happy that I have completed a Btec HND at CCL. Now I can manage to do the course works which are 3000 and more words. I do not feel any difficulties in writing them. I think that I have improved my written skills throughout the assignments that I did in CCL. I have chosen 'Advance database' as one of my optional modules. Purna's lectures were really good and very understandable. He taught me the basics of that very clearly. Even though I joined late to the lectures in SouthBank, I am able to manage that. Moreover, I have made an application to UKBA to extend my current visa. Thank you for giving up your time for helping me many times, when I needed help. I really appreciate your kindness."

MD Iqbal Ahmed - from Bangladesh awarded the BTEC HND in Business Level 5 (NQF) Oct 2011. The College of Central London was actually the foundation of my interaction with the outside world. I met people from various ethnic backgrounds which I never did before and on top of all the principal of the college of central London Sir Nicholas Kailides who is just an amazing person and cannot be described in words was the reason I was so successful in completing my ND as well as HND diplomas which eventually led to my admission at Heriot watt university Dubai campus which is among the top 20 universities in the UK. If I travel to UK next time I will always visit  CCL and Sir Nicholas Kailides and I highly recommend others to do their courses at this college and benefit the way I did.

I started my course in September 2006 in the College of Central London for the advanced professional diploma in strategic hospitality management. During the course study I have received excellent guidance from all of the teaching staff at the College. CCL has all the equipment’s needed for presentations and the students are always encouraged and supported to do presentations within the class. Omosubomi Samuel Jaiyesimi MCMI - from Nigeria BTEC HND in Business July 2007

“The decision to study in CCL is one that I feel very fulfilled and satisfied about. From the onset, I was particularly impressed with the multi-cultural environment. I began with City & Guilds Visual Basic Programming and proceeded to Website design. What struck me most is the unprecedented & unparalled standard of teaching at the college that helped release the academic potential in me. The professional & interactive approach of the lecturers and management is absolutely impeccable! I did not only pass my initial studies in flying colours, I was helped to realise & develop more hidden potentials by studying BTEC OND Business & Finance. With the support and encouragement of the members of staff, I went further for the

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business & Finance - HND with distinctions which gave me the eligibility to become a member of Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Upon finishing my studies in June/July 2005, I was immediately offered an Assistant Manager position at Welcome Break Limited. Today, I am very happy knowing that I made the right decision to choose CCL. I am ever so grateful to the distinguished members of staff for helping me discover my potentials, helping me develop & preparing me to deploy it in whatever firm I choose to work. If you are considering coming to CCL, I’ve got three words for you.... GO FOR IT! You will never regret it.”

During the course, i met different and multi cultural people from all walks of life. The facilities provided by the college were of the highest standards. Lecturers were very helpful and had detailed knowledge in their field. their experience helped me in gaining expert knowledge in my subjects. I was chosen as a student representative for my course and being a student representative,

I had formal and informal communications link between and students to help maintain the quality of the academic program and the learning environment. I passed the course successfully and got the diploma which is well recognised worldwide. This diploma helped me in getting a direct entry to 2nd year of BSc (Hons) Software Engineering at University of Westminster and I know that my decision to study at the College of Central London was right.
Jawad Jabbar Khan - from Riyadh completed a one year Degree Foundation course and is now reading Electronics at the University of Westminster.
Sabina - I hope you had a fantastic Christmas. I am not sure if you remember me, but I attended the college in 2005 in order to complete a DMS. I am just writing to let you know that I have just graduated with an MA in Marketing with distinction!!! I thought I would just let you know what has happened to me after my stay at your college. I would be grateful if you could pass my good news onto Jan Gustafsson, Lindsey Branbury, and Barrie Jervis; as they were the tutors whose teachings in their classes benefited me greatly during the completion of my MA. I am now working at Executive Advertising, where they are putting me through a rigours training programme to management. sabina
I’m sure Reena David, who was also a student at the college in 2005 would not mind me telling you and the other tutors that within seven months she has been promoted to a Sales and Marketing Manager of a private health and fitness centre. She also got married on the 08 December and I was her maid of honour!!! It was a beautiful wedding.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for the time I had at the college during my studies…and I know it was not always easy for me or Reena at times…yet the skills we learnt from the tutors were invaluable.
